Afghan women working on traditional carpet weaving, one of Afghanistan’s oldest and most respected crafts. Carpet weaving has been a part of Afghan culture for generations, preserving artistic heritage and handmade craftsmanship. Since restrictions on women’s education and many jobs increased after the Taliban returned to power, more women have turned toward traditional handicrafts and home-based work such as carpet weaving to support their families and maintain economic independence.
